Northwest Missouri State earned a second consecutive road MIAA win Saturday afternoon knocking off Central Oklahoma 63-60.
The Bearcats (10-10, 5-6 MIAA) trailed by 10 late in the third quarter, but went on a 24-6 run to jump in front of the Bronchos. Northwest's largest lead came on a Jaelyn Haggard three-pointer with 3:32 left in the game to put the 'Cats in front 58-50.
UCO battled back to within one of Northwest on a made three with 11 seconds remaining, but Mallory McConkey went 4-4 at the free throw line to seal the win.
Haggard led Northwest with 15 points and hit 4-8 three-point attempts. McConkey added 11 points, four rebounds and five assists.
The Bearcats return home Thursday for a matchup with Central Missouri at 5:30pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 5pm.
